Diva Resort & Spa

This is a new, innovative, resort set in luxurious and tranquil surroundings. A crystal clear lagoon surrounds this island with 4 kms of sandy beach. Located on, Dhidhoofinolhu Island (1.8 m x 500m), it is a paradise of lush tropical gardens with a wealth of marine life in the magnificent surrounding lagoon: perfect for snorkelling, swimming and diving. Feeding rays are a particular attraction.

The Junior Suites look out to sea and the narrowness of this part of the island means are near to the sea on both sides. Each Suite has a bedroom, en-suite bathroom, terrace and private garden area. “The designer has used dramatic orange touches to give the Suites a warm, sunny feel, further enhanced by the use of local wood for the bedroom floors and terrace decking”. Facilities include: air-conditioning, LCD TV and DVD player, safe, minibar, hairdryer, open air shower, separate bath and shower, terrace. Many of the Suites have communicating doors with the next room and the others have a single bed that can accommodate a child under 12.

The Spa, with its wooden floors and fittings is in an airy and spacious location part of which is over the water. The thatched reception looks out over the sand and the tropical vegetation and water features make it a place of peace and tranquillity. There is a boutique, with a range of products, manicure and pedicure treatments, cold pool, whirlpool and separate ladies and gents sections each with sauna, hammam, ice room, heated pool, relaxation room and outdoor showers.

Facilities

Water Sports

The reef area itself is full of colourful specimens, many peculiar to the region. Guests particularly enjoy the experience of seeing the rays being fed within the lagoon. The boathouse organises trips for snorkelling over the reefs, as well as catamaran excursions. Windsurfing, rubber ring and banana rides, water-skiing, wakeboards, jet-skiing, pedal boats and kayaks are also all available. The boathouse also arranges catamaran and windsurfing lessons, given by staff trained by the VDWS, the German watersports training centre.

Land-based Activities

A wide variety of activities are available, including beach volley, table tennis, badminton, floodlit tennis courts, a gym, billiards, table football and games machines.

There is a nightclub, shops, internet lounge, teens club, kids club, Infirmary with resident doctor.
