Description

Four Seasons Resort at Kuda Huraa

Only 30 mins by speedboat from Malé airport, to this private coral island in the crystal waters of a turquoise sea. The white sands are lined with palm-thatched pavilions and bungalows constructed by local craftsmen using local materials and techniques. You can enhance your stay with a cruise on the Four Seasons Explorer, a private three-deck, 11-cabin catamaran that takes guests island-hopping or diving ior take a Four Seasons Explorer cruise to the resort at Landaa Giraavaru .

The Island spa (which is on its own separate island) is reached by sailing in a dhoni, a traditional Maldivian boat. There you will find seven thatched spa pavilions positioned over the water where you can enjoy a massage and take in the panoramic views of sea and sky. Asian-inspired, innovative treatments and invigorating Vichy showers rejuvenate in facilities complete with huge soaking tubs. Local treatments use marine nutrients and aromatic oils and spices. There is an open-air yoga and meditation platform, where the resort’s own resident yogi can give private training sessions and customise sessions to your individual need.

Café Huraa is an open-sided Maldivian-style thatched-roof pavilion which offers indoor and outdoor dining in an exotic tropical setting. The breakfast buffet has fresh tropical fruits and juices, cereals, homemade breads, grilled meats and vegetables and an made-to-order omelette station. Every evening, guests can enjoy family-style Asian fare featuring a taste of traditional curries, wok-prepared noodles and fresh vegetables, as well as a selection of mouth-watering seafoods. Adjacent to the restaurant is Huraa Barbecue, where grilled seafood and meat dishes are served.

Before dinner relax in the Sunset Lounge over cocktails and watch the colourful sunset. The main swimming pool is one of the largest in the Maldives. Surrounded by a large sun deck, it has chaise lounge and fresh towels. Pool service and a swim-up bar provides refreshments.
